DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) Training

An aircraft operator must comply with the measures of the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) to receive authorization to conduct fights into and out of DCA. One of the requirements is to provide certain training to employees involved with the program. Below is an overview of the training modules available in our safety and security compliance platform.

DASSP In-Flight Security Coordinator and DASSP Primary and Alternate Security Coordinator

These training modules are intended to help an operator's Primary Security Coordinator, Alternate Security Coordinator and In-Flight Security Coordinators to learn more about the DASSP and meet appropriate training requirements.

The Primary Security Coordinator, Alternate Security Coordinator and each In-Flight Security Coordinator (each Pilot in Command of DASSP flights) must complete this training before conducting DASSP flights and then on an annual recurrent basis. The operator is required to maintain records confirming training completion. A record of successful completion is created and retained within the platform for each individual completing this training program.

This module contains Sensitive Security Information (SSI). SSI is regulated under 49 CFR Part 15 and 1520 and is only available to those with an operational need to know. The operator's administrator confirms an individual's eligibility by assigning the individual to this training module.

DASSP All Employee Training

This training module is intended to familiarize all employees of a DASSP aircraft operator with the DCA security program and provide basic instruction on the special security measures required for these flights.

All flight department employees should complete this training before the aircraft operator conducts DASSP flights and then on an annual recurrent basis. The operator should maintain records confirming training completion. A record of successful completion is created and retained within the platform for each individual completing this training program.

This training module does not contain SSI and is intended for all DASSP aircraft operator employees, including reception staff, dispatch and flight following staff, charter sales staff and others. It is recommended these employees also complete the General Security Awareness Training module.
