DCA Access Standard Security Program - Airman File Check
Is your operation set up with a TSA DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP)? If the answer is yes, then under 49 CFR Part 1562 Subpart B, you are required to check flight crewmembers' records for FAA violations. The FAA Airman File Check complies with this regulation.

Pilot Records Improvement Act of 1996 (PRIA)
On September 9, 2024, the sunset of PRIA took place. However, if your company holds a Part 125, Part 135 or Part 121 Air Carrier Certificate, you are required to comply with the FAA's Pilot Records Database (PRD) regulations as well as still run a full Drug & Alcohol History Check and National Driver Register (NDR) Check. Drug & Alcohol History Check
To confirm an applicant or employee is eligible to perform safety-sensitive responsibilities, you must run a Drug & Alcohol History Check and review those records prior to hire or transfer. Regulated Air Carriers are required to run this check on pilots under the FAA's pilot records regulations.
